TAAF/TRAPS SMS University

       
 
 The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation and the Texas Recreation and Park Society work together to conduct the Sport Management School (SMS University).  It includes a 1st Year, 2nd Year Sports Program and a Maintenance Program.

This annual school is a perfect, economical opportunity to improve your knowledge and abilities in the sports management arena.  You will receive a crash-course on the hot topics of athletics, taught by "gurus" in the Parks and Recreation Field.

Upon completion of both years in the school, participants will become a TAAF Certified Professional Sports Manager (C.P.S.M.).  Participants must recertify within four (4) years of the date certified to retain certification.

Participants in the TAAF/TRAPS SMS University may request to obtain .1 CEUs for each class attended, and must attend a minimum of five (5)classes in their entirety to receive credit.  Attendees will receive a certificate of completion following the conclusion of the school.  First and Second year students may interchange maintenance sessions to earn credits toward their certification.
