Coaches Certifications

S.P.O.R.T.S. Youth Coaches' Certification Program

The Texas Amateur Athletic Federation offers a Youth Coaches' Certification Program to all youth leagues and associations.

The program includes the following:
 

  • A printed book of information for the coach to keep as a reference
  • A criminal background check
    • Applicants are checked within the State of Texas and County of Residence
    • Background checks are completed by Intel Net
    • Results are returned to the TAAF State Office within 48 hours
  • Personal liability insurance policy for $1,000,000
    • No additional charge for insurance
    • Policy is renewed annually by maintaining certification
  • An exam to guaranty knowledge of the program
  • Peace of mind
